How to use the MarineEnergyCover website, calculator, content and client portal responsibly.
Using this website
These terms concern access to marineenergycover.com and its digital features. Insurance transactions are also subject to the transaction-specific documents described in Terms of Business. If you use the platform for a company, make sure you have authority to submit information and give instructions on its behalf.
Information, articles and estimates
Product pages, blog articles and the assistant provide general information. They cannot assess every vessel, cargo, jurisdiction or contract and are not a substitute for tailored insurance or legal advice. Check publication dates and the underlying sources before relying on time-sensitive guidance.
The calculator provides an indicative estimate from the values and options entered. It does not confirm eligibility, insurer participation or coverage. You may submit an application without prior approval, but only authorised confirmation establishes whether and when cover is bound.
Accounts and submissions
Use accurate contact information and keep your password, verification links and recovery codes private. Notify us if an account may have been compromised. Only upload material you are entitled to share and check that it is relevant, complete and free of malicious content.
Do not impersonate another person, access another customer's records, interfere with the service, introduce malware or use the platform for unlawful transactions. We may restrict access where necessary to investigate misuse, protect users or meet legal duties. Restricting website access does not itself determine the status of an existing insurance contract.
Content and intellectual property
Website text, branding and illustrations may be protected by intellectual-property rights. You may access the site and retain information needed for your legitimate enquiry or policy administration. Obtain permission before republishing branded material or presenting it as your own. Third-party material remains subject to its owner's rights.
Uploading documents does not transfer your ownership of them. It permits their use for handling the relevant enquiry or service in accordance with the Privacy Policy and any applicable transaction terms.
Translations and automated assistance
Translations help users navigate the service; the English source is authoritative for website legal content. AI-assisted translations and answers may contain errors. Where wording is unclear or affects a decision, ask the team to clarify it. The language of an actual insurance contract is determined by its own documents, not by the website selector.
Do not send sensitive documents or account secrets to the assistant. Use the authenticated portal for private information. An automated answer is not a binding instruction, underwriting decision or claims settlement.
Links, availability and responsibility
External links are provided for relevant information. We do not control third-party websites, their availability or subsequent changes. Their terms and privacy notices apply when you visit them.
Maintenance, connectivity problems or other interruptions can affect the website. Keep your own copies of important documents. If an insurance or claims deadline is approaching, use the contact route in your policy and do not rely solely on website availability.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Responsibility for an insurance transaction is governed by the applicable contract and law. Report inaccurate content or technical problems so they can be investigated.
Changes and contact
The date on this page identifies the current version. Website updates do not retrospectively amend an issued policy or override separately agreed transaction terms.
